The gym scene in Kuta, Lombok has expanded quickly over the past couple of years, and the options now cover every type of training and budget. Whether you're after a simple no-frills weights room, a full CrossFit box, recovery facilities, or somewhere women-only and air-conditioned, there's something here for you. Here's the full rundown.

Gyms in Kuta, Lombok

Loka

Loka is one of Kuta's most popular fitness destinations and it's not hard to see why. Beyond the gym floor, which offers classes including Muay Thai and Hyrox, the real draw is the recovery centre: a sauna, three ice plunge pools, and a magnesium salt pool. Whether you've been training hard or you've just come out of the surf, it's a great place to wind down.

The on-site cafe is a reliable spot for post-workout fuel. We love the protein toast and the smoothie bowls. On Sunday evenings, they run an all-you-can-eat barbecue, which has become something of a local institution.

Pricing: 100k for a Day Pass. Additional prices for the Recovery, Classes and Coaching.

XenoFit

XenoFit is the most visually striking gym in Kuta, a sprawling bamboo structure designed by Bamboo Lab, with plenty of space to move around. It's more expensive than some of the other options in town, but the membership price includes all classes (CrossFit, Hyrox, yoga, mat pilates) which makes it good value if you plan to use the full programme.

There's also a small on-site climbing wall (but you have to bring your own shoes, as rentals aren't available) and a cafe to refuel afterwards. Open weekdays 6am–9pm, weekends 6am–7pm.

Pricing: 225k IDR for a Day Pass, includes classes.

VIP Gym

VIP is one of the newer additions to the Kuta gym scene and it stands apart from the others in a few ways. It's deliberately quieter than Loka and Xeno. There are no classes, so the gym floor is never occupied by a group session. The equipment is brand new, comprehensive, and focused on resistance training and weights rather than functional fitness.

The recovery facilities include a large sauna and a very cold ice bath, though the pool is currently under repair. One thing to know: the recovery centre isn't always running, so you'll need to ask staff to switch on the sauna and ice bath when you arrive. The changing rooms are well-appointed, and the whole place has a premium feel at a lower price point than you might expect.

Pricing: 250k IDR for a Day Pass, including recovery at the moment (June 2026).

Bumblebee Gym

Bumblebee is the no-frills option — and that's exactly what a lot of people are after. A pared-back space with machines and free weights, large doors and fans instead of air conditioning. You came here to sweat, and sweat you will.

This is the best-value gym in Kuta. If you just need a straightforward weights session without the fuss or the price tag, this is your spot.

Pricing: 45k IDR for a Day Pass.

FitQueen (Women Only)

FitQueen is a women-only gym, making it a particularly important option for Muslim women and anyone who simply prefers training in a female environment. It's air-conditioned (a welcome detail in Kuta's heat) and comes with a big range of equipment.

There are morning classes each day, except Sunday. Swing by to try their yoga, zumba, or pilates.

Pricing: 120k IDR for a Day Pass, including classes.

The Central Gym

The Central Gym is a small, local gym that's well-priced and easy to get to. It's a solid option if you're looking for something no-fuss and accessible without committing to a bigger venue.
