Kuta, Lombok has quietly become one of the better places in Indonesia to maintain a yoga practice. Whether you're a regular who wants to make sure your surf holiday includes time on your mat, or you're simply looking for a way to unwind, there's a spot here for you. From eco-retreat centres with multiple classes a day to intimate shalas with ocean views, here's where to practise yoga in Kuta, Lombok.

Yoga Studios & Shalas in Kuta, Lombok

Mana Retreat Lombok

Nestled in the centre of town, Mana Retreat is one of the most established yoga venue in Kuta. The eco-retreat centre has two yoga shalas, a delicious vegetarian cafe, a pool, a spa, and rooms to suit all budgets. With four to five classes a day on the schedule, you can easily fit a session around whatever else you have on. I love to head to an early class then stop for coffee at the cafe with my journal (or laptop, if the day demands it).

Beyond the daily schedule, Mana hosts a range of special events each week: cacao ceremonies, women's circles, sound baths as well as annual yoga teacher trainings. If you're after something a little more relaxed, they also show films a few evenings each week which are a great excuse to grab some popcorn and pull up a bean bag. Check their website for the current schedule for classes and events.

Pricing: Drop-in Class is 150k IDR. 10 Class Pack is 1.2mil IDR

Ashtari Yoga

For one of the most memorable settings on the island, head up the hill to Ashtari. Perched high above Kuta with sweeping coastal views, the venue combines a yoga shala with a restaurant, cooking school, event space, and accommodation. The food is grown locally and beautifully prepared, with a menu spanning Indonesian classics and Indian-inspired dishes.

Getting there can feel daunting on a scooter, particularly in the dark or during rain — but Ashtari offers a shuttle service if you book in advance. Worth the effort.

Pricing: Drop-in Class is 130k IDR. 10 Class Pack is 1mil IDR.

Rascals Kuta Lombok

Rascals is a boutique adults-only resort in the heart of town with a dedicated yoga shala. The shala overlooks a 20-metre pool and is framed by tropical gardens, designed to stay cool and shaded even during the heat of the day. It comfortably fits 22 mats and is equipped with a surround-sound system, which makes each session feel immersive. Premium mats and props are provided and cleaned daily. Three classes run each day, so check the timetable to find what works with your schedule.

The standout extra here is the recovery space, which is be booked separately. It's capped at 10 people per session and includes a sauna, two ice baths, and a magnesium pool in a Turkish-bath-style setting. I love to pop in here in the afternoon and then grab dinner in their restaurant.

Rascals also runs an Assistant Yogi Programme that trains local team members to become certified teachers. It's a nice touch that adds real warmth to the experience.

Pricing: Drop-in Class is 150k IDR. 10 Class Pack is 1mil IDR.

XenoFit

XenoFit is best known as Kuta's CrossFit and Hyrox hub, but yoga is built into the weekly schedule too. Classes run on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings, included as part of the standard membership. The sessions take place in the open gym space rather than a dedicated shala, so this isn't the place for a spiritual experience. But if you're a regular gym-goer looking to add some yoga into the mix without hunting down a separate studio, it's a convenient option. Check the current schedule on their website before heading over.

Pricing: Day Pass is 225k IDR. 1 Week Pass is 950K IDR. Both prices allow you access to the whole gym and any classes.
